needs a routine.

I want melon pan (bread).

After watching Yakitate! Japan, I now of course want to make bread. Typical. And since I can't find melon pan anywhere (disappointing bread top =[), I've decided to give this one a crack on saturday. I'll let you know how that goes.

Speaking of projects, finding the DDR mat very hard. That site I posted previously takes lots of welding, and I don't particularly want to do that. I'm thinking maybe looking into types of timber that could work. Again, this will probably have to wait til next holidays to start, but no harm on thinking about it...

I'm living by myself again in the apartment. It's quiet lonely, now that I've experienced apartment sharing in queensland. Upstairs indian people are very annoying too. They talk so loudly and late at night. Got woken up at 3 am last thursday grrr. Wild plans of throwing stink bombs into their apartment plague my mind...

Been trying to make new groups at uni, since my last few groups didn't work out. Alot of them are amor, but it's been okay so far. Just glad I was able to find new people to work with and not struck out fishing randoms again..although my last randoms turned out pretty well.

today was my free tuesday...planned to go to officework to buy another notebook and stapler, but never ended up going. I definitely need a routine, instead of staying at the apartment all day =_= excerise could be an option...is it time to rejoin the gym perhaps?

oh, and I could be changing to 3 very soon. my whole group is now on 3 for goodness sake. won't be able to talk to ann anymore though =[ goodbye 2300 free minutes.

DDR construction?

have a look at this picture. looks cool right?
now I'll tell you it's self-made. Whooa, impressive yeah?
and you can make it yourself!
all up, this project will cost you $400 to make.

yeah my interest dive was probably the one your having right now.
I found this link while searching for some home-made DDR 'hardmats' as they're known (or metal mats as I tend to call them). This mat not only has pop-rings for easy movement, sensory sensitivity adjustments, while being pretty damn identical to arcade ones, it also lights up real pretty with additional LEDs.

over the next few days, I'm going to try and draft my own design. There are so many things I can cut out (such as the LEDs..as pretty as they are T_T) that will reduce the cost. They have part listings there on that site too, which is pretty handy.

just imagine...ddr in your own home. *drool.

my ki is your ki

I've got this feeling in my stomach that something isn't quite right. It's been there since late last week, and it's not going away. For a stab, it might be uni. It could be getting used to living alone, especially after queensland. I wonder what it is..

On the bus on the right to ddr with ling, I noticed there was a myki machine installed. It's little box with an display screen, saying 'get ready for myki!'. apparently it's already been implemented in places like Geelong and Bendigo (I wonder if our dentist friends there have used it), but no date of release here in Melbourne.

It's a system used in many places over-seas, including Singapore, where you have a single card with prepaid money in it. You swipe your card when you get on, and again when you get off. The system them calculates what zones you've been on and deducts money from you. If you swipe it again 3 hours later, it will also detect this and charge you less to make the total expenses equal a daily cost. Pretty smart.

Now that I think about it, Julian used something simliar up in Queensland as well.

Btw, yes I've started using labels cause Marco has convinced me how smart they are. But I'll probably give up sometime soon.

and cut.

that's a holiday wrap people.

this holiday was pretty crazy for me. crammed a lot of things at the beginning...rushed off to queensland..and then surprisingly crammed a few more things at the end.

I've got a lot to think about from this holiday. things to chew over on those lonely nights in the apartment, as I didn't manage to find a new roommate (which I'm perfectly fine about tbh).

attachment was a common theme in my thoughts. Anyone got a who-to-deal-with-change-for-dummies guide? I've been thinking to try and join a outside club of some sorts to try and individualize myself. The thing is to try and find something interesting...and the time.

pact: try and implement one positive change to myself this semester.
disappointed: didn't get my new star wars book in time this holidays. oh the emotion.
unkeen: uni
positive: uni timetable seems better

I wish everyone I might not see for awhile a good semester and all the best. take care and I can't wait to see you all next holidays for more fun and memories.

teoh,

p.s I signed up for guitar hero tournament at timezone knox today =]

off we go!

we're off to queensland tomorrow!

holidays is so exciting. I've caught up with alot of people I haven't seen for awhile, which is always good. Still many more to see when I get back.

exams were horrible. never want to do them ever again!

stay tuned, for we will attempt to post video blogs here while we're up in queensland.
I'm already disappointed...it's forecasted to rain and cold up there at the moment =[
still, it'll be good to go off with friends for awhile.

everyone else stay safe and have a good holiday,
teoh
