Hey Marco! hhaha i like came onto this blog and jason and david had written something about money and i was like what the? and then i went to ur blog and it explained a bit and yeh... soo heres my moneyyy blogg post =)
Hmm .. Well i only really got a good job this year and yeh it's been really good, i earn quite okay and the hours are good and my boss is nice and my workmates are really friendly and cool. The only downside is that it's so far away to travel...
Anyways i don't even know what this blog is meant to be about .. hmm so let me read ur blog again and teohs...
okay.. hmm i stil don't really get it but okay.. Well i have my fix term deposit account combined with my mum i think.. but it's mainly mine that my mum has been saving for me for ages.. it's about 6000 dollars i think.. and yeh i can't really touch that yeh sucks =( haha but nah honestly it's really good i really have no self control.
I have a savings account which is where i transfer money that i earn into it and i try not to spend it although my mobile phone plan eats 30 dollars away from it each month soo thats anoying but nah i love my phone =). Hmm.. then i have my acess account which is where my money gets put into from my work place and yehh i get paid monthly so i really have to budget and yeh... i don't really work .. too much but i get lets just say around half a grand each month.... and yeh it comes in a massive sum i mean.. sum... =.= ... but it's not good because i like to shop online a lot now and yeh i usually order clothes ahah im such a girl i just buy clothes and presents for people now these days and yeh.. the thing is i have to spend at lease 150us dollars in order to get free shipping so i either buy lots and lots of stuff or just really nice expensive things ahha! Um.. i honestly don't have a problem spending money on expensive stuff like when people go 'omg thats soo expensive' and yeh i do that as well but if it's really nice and it's something u really like i wouldn't mind buying it and yeh i look at money in hours now i mean if something is like 80 dollars for a shirt.. i mean i wouldn't go OMG 80 i just think ... thats one ...*insert hours here* worth of work and yeh somedays i sit around the office doing nothing soo im like wow my workplace is making me more stylish =)
i suppose i need a car.. but i want a brand new car im not a fan of used cars.. but i have no self control to save up and buy myself soo probably won't be getting one now since i keep buying clothes =.= ..
anyways i like to add WOW marco u have so much money!! really it does pay to be smart wow and yeh for sure man u derserve it all! ahha just remember me when ur this pro doctor and all and yehhh invite me to ur fancy dinner parties haha with fancy strictt rich dress code and such! ahha.
mmm financial status ey. I've enjoyed good independence for awhile now, ever since I got my job at KFC in year 10. I consider myself a pretty (comma???) independent person, so I relished the feeling of not needing to ask my parents for money. When buying presents for someone, the request for money would always be rebuked with:
"What's it for? What are you buying? What!? So much! In my days, 5 dollars was plenty enough! So split with someone. Or take this, it's been in the cupboard, it's still nice! Fine, take 10."
Hmmm, sounds like ling back in the old stingy days.
Anyhow, here is my current situation (so it has some incomparability with marco's post): - My money is my money - Income purely from work (currently Baker's Delight) - Roughly 80 dollars a week - I have freedom in buying anything, except when things get around 150 and above, I let my parents know (cause they know best) just out of consideration.
I'm actually waiting for another job, cause 80 dollars a week is ridiculously hard to survive on. I've stocked up quite abit, so I'm good for now, but it' s slowly declining, and I find my contributions to my savings account gets less and less every month =S
As of now, I have no plans for buying anything. Mostly just trying to get by without draining my weekly earnings completely. I see this job as unable to really save up for anything i.e a car, which I wouldn't mind saving up for. But things I would like to buy are:
Car. Just an old one around 3 to 5 grand you know? Clothes (need help with these :3) and shoes. Definitely tickets to Eminence/concert (haven't been to one for ages)
That's pretty much it =S As you can see, I stole two from marco. I don't really have any purchase wishes. All my wishes atm at like: hope i pass my exams. WHY DID I LOSE MY PLATES. hope my teeth don't shift. Yup.
On a side note, marco proves that studying hard does pay off, literally. I mean, how can you not do ANYTHING but study, and get paid. Man....ho....
I'm supposed to be studying, but I was procrastinating and saw this comment on youtube about a music video, and felt like saying something about it.
Congratulations if you've already figured out the word I'm about to attack.
It's 'unique'. A word that is used so often and so inappropriately that it is an example of many words today that have become a cliche. It is no longer only phrases that are deserving of being cliches, but individual words are apparently eligible for this demotion, too!
I've observed that unique is simply used to communicate that something is good, similar to the its hollow cousin: 'special'. It doesn't mean one-of-a-kind any longer, unfortunately. As can be observed in this comment, which utilises a thorough paradox: 'i love bands like this' + 'they are unique'! Nice one, noaplus4u! No A+ for your English though, I'm afraid.
