unfortunately, most of the time it doesn't..and it annoys me, it really does. It pretty much ruins the whole day for me when plans go horribly wrong. I can adapt sometimes, but you know those days that just go opposite to what you want?
so yesterday was chadstone vip night. And I had asked ann if she wanted to go shopping, cause I owed her for screwing up the reunion (another story). and the plan had been that I would pick her up and drive there...but then my family ended up going, and I couldn't pick ann up (my mum's fault... =___=) anyhow, the whole plan was ruined, and my day did not go so well either, and we only got to shop for an hour together.
anyway, I digress from my point. While I was walking around chaddy waiting for ann, I was thinking how I really hate shopping..well not even hate it. I just don't seem to know how to shop? Like I can go into Knox, meaning to buy clothes..but I just can't get into it.
And then I realised, shopping is a very spontaneous thing. And me, being an organised planning person, is not very spontaneous at all. Taking it further, I realised, I've never really bought anything on the spot. Whenever I buy something, it's pre-planned, researched, walked by it 4 times over 2 weeks, checking other prices and then I will buy it. Which is good up to a point I guess..but not so applicable to others.
anyway yes..that was my epiphany for the day.
quick game reviews:
spore
the game did a lot of what they said it would. customization was pretty awesome in the creature creation. you can make some pretty exotic looking creatures. it would be interesting to go online and dl some other people's creatures. but it got a bit tedious later on, when you had to start customizing every buliding..for every colony..for every planet...for every system... =_=
game play was soso. imo, cause I've played some good RTS, the tribal and civil stages were rather boring and rather 2D (in a matter of speaking). The cell and creature stages were entertaining enough...but the space phase is pretty damn addictive for some reason. It's not that great..but just addictive.
overall a decent game, for those mysims fans and civilization like-games.
force unleashed
picked this up last night, plowed through about 3 hours of it so far. First impressions was disappointment. The graphics were definitely down there, explosions and such not looking real at all. Expected in the wii version I guess, but I was hoping for alittle more. Story line likewise is a little weak in my opinion. Definitely not in epic proportions or anything and no real emotions playing out. Dunno what the producers were so excited about when they talked about the plot..
gameplay on the other hand, is quite fun once you get the hang of it. I still stand by that all these kind of games are better off with the traditional buttons, rather than the motions. Nevertheless, you do still have some nice feeling to some of the actions, force push for instances (motion forward with nunchuck) is quite nice. Lightsaber swings are a bit hard for accuarcy though.
it was a must for me, since it was starwars anyway. but it's not a bad game to download, if you just want to 'unleash' your frustration of uni =]
teoh,
