I took a look into the blog's archive, and I realised I didn't write a reflection post of 2007, which was a shame. So I've decided I will write one for 2008.
We spent the last day of '08 once again at my house. And although it was disappointing we didn't get to go to the city as planned, I found it kinda comforting that we were determined to do something together no matter how many people bailed (ling =P) or if it was something that fell short of our expectations.
Anyhoo, reflections:
university, first year.
I'll be honest, I was disappointed with first year. It wasn't all that I thought it would be. But then, it wasn't so bad either. I met some new people, expanding the social groups a bit them, learned new things and started nuturing an interest in my course. Academically, I was quite happy with my results. I'm looking forward to '09, especially since I start my specialised course of Civil Eng and with a little luck, get into Eng/Comm (girls! lol jks (lol so not (woo!)))
apartment and working
Living away from home and closer to uni was a awesome experience. It made things much easier for me. It was a lot of fun, and I learned heaps from it. Living away from home and closer to uni AND working near by was even better. Getting the Coles IT support job in August-ish was awesome and will continue to be awesome as I become even more comfortable with the job.
friends
made some new friends, grew closer to others, as well as distant to others. all up, it's been an awesome (yes I'll be using that word alot in this post) year with my friends. I know at the start of this year I wanted to keep all my close friends, and I'm really appreciative that I have them all with me still. thanks to all my friends, and look forward to spending '09 with you.
family
..not much has changed. bro goes out more, sister enjoys her work more, everyone's one year older. my dog is lazier, I got pet mice as an addition to my family, lost a mouse (rip jess =[) and my fish still survive! oh yeah!
mmm I just can't seem to remember anything...significant from '08. it was a pretty blur year. But all the significant memories stay within my mind (even though at this very moment I can't remember any). we're getting older...
looking forward to '09 !
teoh,
