so falls my mighty tree =[
t'was so green and tall, provided much shelter and protection to our house. even fallen, it still gives us respect by not blocking our driveway, or not falling onto our garage. rip tree.
and LOL at marco for not noticing it when he came over. *points to my dp* "is that your house? when did that happen?" blind doctor coming through people..
hats night turned out pretty well, despite having odd numbers again. group: me, ca, sassy, grace, amanda, ng, marco, ling and tim. good fun my friends. me ca and sassy pwned (oooh gg says grace) at 56 i believe? and 50's for everyone else, nice come back amanda and grace.
went to pancake parlour with dave amanda ling and tim, after playing taxi and dropping everyone off. i hate driving in the rain. ling and tim left after eating, while the three of us caught up til 2 am. good fun.
sunday. my brother decided to take me to planetshakers church. it was a pretty cool place, nice auditorium and band playing. but i really enjoyed the message, which basically relayed that christmas time was a dangerous time for christians cause there are alot of chances to backslide/temptations. so the advice was four points:
1. stand firm
2. stand up
3. say something
4. have something to say
can't remember all four, but i remember 2.. (some chapter, some verse), Peter? (LOL) stood up with the other 11 apostles together. Together was the emphasis. And I liked it a lot cause you can apply it no matter if you're christian or not.
I've always like the idea of a united group, always backing each other up no matter what. Never fighting, always understanding, always supporting and if the times comes, a gentle nudge to the correct path. I look at the close friendships I have and I'm so happy that I can see that united-ness within them.
SW: Republic Commandos play out this storyline about a squad of four commandos. But they're also clones (if you follow episode 2 at all), which makes them brothers. And the way the story is written, drawing out the emotional bonds, the way they always look out for each other, taking extreme risks and defying even the top command chain for each other. It's so awesome.
When the speaker, Matt, was shouting his heart out about having to stand together, and the whole church responding, cheering and stamping their feet, that was awesome to see in real life. I can only hope that one day, all of us can be like that.
anyway, I took that away from church that day.
teoh,
edit: i just went through all my memories stuff from yr 12 including my year book....good times. hard to believe it's been a whole year. *tear lol.
