I went to baker's delight to buy some bread for the apartment (I did grocery shopping today all by myself ^^) and my friend is doing childhood education at uni. So she gets to do primary school maths for her homework LOL. Anyway, this question took me like 5 minutes to answer =_= just wanted to see if it took other people the same time. It's a numerical pattern question:
A man walked into a shop and said to the shop keeper: "Give me the same amount of money I have on me, and I'll spend $10". The shop keeper did so, and the man went on his way. He did the same thing to another two shops before having no more money left. How much did he start out with?
Answer:
8.75 I think I got. Basically I worked backwards, starting from $0, +$10 he spent, then halved it to get what he had leftover from the store before. Then that becomes a formula of (result + 10)/2.
So yup. My little post for today.
teoh,
